Angela Jackson is an American poet, playwright, and novelist. She is known for her free verse poems that take their inspiration from myths and everyday life. Her poetry collections include Voo Doo/Love Magic and Dark Legs and Silk Kisses: The Beatitudes of the Spinners. She has won a Pushcart Prize, the Poetry Society of America’s Shelley Memorial Award, and more.
