Anne Hunter was a poet in Georgian London who is remembered for her lyrical poetry. Her poem, ‘Flower of the Forest’ started her career in 1765 and in the last decades of her life she wrote ‘Sports of the Genii’ to accompany a set of drawings by Susan Macdonald.
