Arun Kolatkar was an Indian poet who wrote in English and Marathi. His poetry is remembered for its humorous depictions of mundane, everyday events and circumstances. He is only one of two Indian poets to be featured in the New York Review of Books. Kolatkar won the Kusumagraj Puraskar in 1991 among many other honors.
