César Vallejo was a Peruvian poet who is also remembered as a journalist and playwright. Today, his work with language and poetic invention is considered to be some of the most important of the 20th century. He published three books during his life, with each one notably different from the previous.
‘The Black Heralds’ by Vallejo probes the depths of human suffering and existential crisis, questioning the relentless harshness of life.
