Eva Gore-Booth was an Irish poet and dramatist. She is also remembered for her role in the suffragist movement and work as a social worker. Her work incorporates Irish folklore, focusing in the female characters. She is also known for verse that has led to speculation about her sexuality. Her poetry was well-loved by W.B. Yeats who sent her books he hoped would inspire her.
