Genevieve Taggard was an American poet born in Washington. She published thirteen collections, including Not Mine to Finish: Poems 1928-1934 and Calling Western Union. Some of her poetry has been set to music, something benefiting its themes of beauty and wildness. She is also a biographer, publishing The Life and Mind of Emily Dickinson in 1930.
