โThe Donkeyโ transforms from self-hate to pride, as a once scorned donkey recounts its moment of glory on Palm Sunday.
When fishes flew and forests walked
ย ย And figs grew upon thorn,
Some moment when the moon was blood
ย ย Then surely I was born.
‘The Last Heroโ weaves a tale of valor and loss, using rich rhyme and imagery to depict a warrior’s last stand.
The wind blew out from Bergen from the dawning to the day,
There was a wreck of trees and fall of towers a score of miles away,
And drifted like a livid leaf I go before its tide,
Spewed out of house and stable, beggared of flag and bride.
