Jesús Papoleto Meléndez is a Puerto Rican poet and activist. He has also worked as a playwright and teacher. Meléndez is noted as a member of the Nuyorican Movement. He was influenced by the idea that poetry should be accessible to all people. His books include Casting Long Shadows and Concertos on Market Street: Poems.
‘spring again’ was published in the poetry collection “Hey Yo/Yo Soy! 40 Years of Nuyorican Street Poetry” (2012) by the Puerto Rican poet Jesús Papoleto Meléndez. This poem features the quick movement of time as well as seasons.
