Joseph Mohr is remembered as the author of ‘Silent Night,’ the famed Christmas carol. He worked as a Roman Catholic priest in the early-mid-1800s. While ‘Silent Night’ is his best-known carol, he also wrote other hymns. Throughout his life, he donated most of his money to children and created a fund to care for poor families.
