Lauris Dorothy Edmond was a New Zealand poet and writer. She was born in 1924 and died in 2000. She started publishing poetry in her first book, In Middle Air. She also wrote plays, an autobiography, and a novel. Selected Poems, published in 1984, won the Commonwealth Poetry Prize.
