Léonie Adams is a teacher, editor, and poet. Her poetry has won the Harriet Monroe Poetry Award and the Shelley Memorial Award. She cites her influences as Elizabethan, Early Romantic, and Symbolist. She’s also worked in an editorial capacity for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City during the 1920s.
