Leslie Norris was a Welsh poet and short story writer. He taught at universities throughout the United Kingdom and is often cited as one of the best, post-war Welsh authors of the period. He won numerous literary prizes throughout his lifetime.
Norris’ ‘A Tiger in the Zoo’ contrasts the tiger’s vivid life in the wild with its muted existence in captivity, highlighting freedom’s loss.
