‘This is my Father’s World’ is a popular hymn in which the author praises God and his work which he sees in the natural world.
This is my Father’s world,
And to my list’ning ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
‘Be Strong’ by Maltbie D. Babcock describes a certain way of living in the world in which one faces down all their troubles bravely.
Be strong!
We are not here to play, to dream, to drift;
We have hard work to do, and loads to lift;
Shun not the struggle—face it; ’tis God’s gift.
