Meghan O’Rourke is a contemporary American poet and critic. She was born in 1976 in Brooklyn, New York. Her first book of poems was published in 2007, titled Halflife. Her memoir, written after her mother’s death, followed in 2011 and received rave reviews. She became the editor of the Yale review in 2019
